Former India opener Virender Sehwag has made a big statement about not being a coach of his Indian team. Sehwag said that there was no setting for the people sitting in the board, so he was not appointed as the coach of the Indian team. Sehwag said that he did not have the access to the top people in the BCCI, so he could not make the coach. With this, Sehwag also said that he will no longer apply for the Indian team’s coach post. In a conversation with a private channel, Sehwag said, ‘Look, I could not become a coach because I did not have any setting from any coach who was choosing’. Former India batsman Dhanraj Biswas also targeted the current coach of the Indian team, Ravi Shastri. It is believed that Ravi Shastri was the coach of Indian team captain Virat Kohli as coach, so he was appointed coach.Sehwag also made a sensational disclosure that some members of the BCCI had asked him to apply for the post of coach. That is why he applied, otherwise he had no intention. Sehwag said, “I never thought of becoming the coach of the Indian team. I was offered for coaching. BCCI’s Executive Secretary Amitabh Chaudhary and GM MV Sridhar urged me for this post . After this I applied for the post of coach. Sehwag also said that he talked to Team India captain Virat Kohli about this. He had asked me to apply, only then I applied for this post. Sehwag said that if you ask my opinion then I would not have been interested in becoming the coach of the Indian team.
Sehwag also said that Ravi Shastri had said that he will not apply for this post. Sehwag said that when I was in England for the Champions Trophy. Then I asked Ravi Shastri why he did not apply, he said that he will not repeat the same mistake which he has done once. Sehwag said that if Ravi Shastri first applied, I would never apply.
