CHANCELLOR of ISBM University, Navapara (Kosmi), Dr Vinay Agrawal had a courtesy call on Governor Anusuiya Uikey here at Raj Bhavan on Friday.
The Chancellor Dr. Vinay Agrawal expressed gratitude with the Governor Anusuiya Uikey for gracing the convocation ceremony virtually. He said that ISBM University is making all out efforts to fulfill the expectations of the local tribal community in the area.
Dr. Vinay Agrawal informed the Governor that the objective of the varsity is not just to educate the local youths, but to impart employment-based education and to prepare them as a better professional, and inspire their business talent.
Dr. Vinay Agrawal requested the Governor for providing permission to start academic in agriculture stream since the university is situated in the forested area having demand for agribased courses.
Deputy Registrar of the varsity Rakesh Tiwari apprised about the social welfare and public awareness programmes by the university under Corporate Social Responsibility.
The Governor said that she belongs to the Adivasi region and praised the varsity for providing education in the remote forest and Adivasi areas. She will discuss the issue of permission for starting agriculture course with the State Education Minister.
